The TV is a flat wide screen with remote control and sits facing both beds.

The cabinet also has a collection of goodies including a digital camera for $50, cell phone charger for $20, golf balls for $18 and a cocktail shaker kit for $16.

The desk has a comfortable chair and the power points are easy to access for charging your phone etc.

The beds are comfortable and there are 4 pillow on each bed, with varying densities, so you can take your choice on which pillows you prefer to use.

The room is large and easily accommodates the two double beds, a desk with one chair and a TV cabinet with a mini-fridge which is stocked full of food and drinks – at a cost of course.

Having said that however, we think we got a great deal for our $150 per night rate. I think we were expecting our room to be a little more like our room at The Rio Hotel where we had a lounging area. Perhaps our expectations were just a little too high but I know that I would have been very disappointed if we had paid extra for the upgrade. However, on entering the room we were a little disappointed as it looked like just any other hotel room in many respects. We are on the 25th floor in the Palace Tower and we make our way to our room (#2505) with high expectations, thinking that the upgraded room must be something a little more special than what we originally going to get.

We almost need a packed lunch to get to the elevators which in themselves are as ornate as everything else in the hotel. We headed off to our room feeling a bit pleased with ourselves at having got the upgraded room with nothing extra to pay.Īs with most Las Vegas hotels, it is a major epic finding our room. And we are likely to get the upgrade for no extra cost. So we learnt then, that if someone offers us an upgrade at an extra cost then we shouldn’t take it as what it probably means is that they don’t have the room available that we paid for anyway. He proceeded to type away into his computer and then finally told us that we could have the upgrade for nothing! Go figure. We declined the offer as we thought that even a basic room at this hotel would be pretty good and we would be happy with that. The gentleman at the front desk offered us an upgraded room. And just look at this magnificent reception area.Ĭhecking in was an interesting experience.

The hotel is located in an absolutely prime position on The Strip. We had walked through the hotel a number of times and just loved it so when we found a really cheap rate on their website for $150US per night for their spa package we decided to take it. A few years ago when we were in Las Vegas, as a treat, Paula and I decided to check into Caesars Palace for a couple of nights.
